Meet our wonderful Deerface! Born in 2021, he was orphaned by his mum so given to a sheep of ours named Maggie to bring up.

Deerface, affectionately named for his lovely, deer-like appearance, has a beautiful little face that has, unfortunately, presented some challenges for him.

Deerface was born with an undershot jaw, making it very difficult for him to latch onto Maggie and nurse when he was a lamb. As he has grown, he continued to face difficulties in consuming shorter grass, which led to concerns about his weight.

However, since relocating to our new home at Woodmancote Place, Deerface has thrived! Here, he enjoys a wider selection of longer grass, which suits his condition much better. He is now looking much happier and healthier!
