Meet our precious Percy!

In April 2023, we received a message from the Surge Sanctuary, asking if we could re-home a young ram they could no longer keep.

The Surge Sanctuary had gone to great lengths to care for Percy, who previously belonged to a farmer. Percy was too small to easily bottle feed, so the farmer gave Percy to his wife, who quickly fell in love with him (who could blame her?).

After arriving at the sanctuary, Percy appeared rather subdued. We could tell there was something wrong, but weren’t sure what. A vet suspected he might be suffering from stress-induced pneumonia. After some antibiotics and pain relief, and with time, Percy has made a strong recovery.

He is a very caring boy who enjoys human company and cuddles, but he particularly became best friends with Hayley’s dog, Loki!
