Georgina is a beautiful gentle Pietrain pig that had spent the whole 3 years of her life locked a concrete pen with no windows, no access to outside space, no bedding & no enrichment whatsoever.

She was used for breeding, and had every baby of hers taken away for slaughter.

Thanks to our friends at Pigs In The Wood rescue, we became aware of her plight and stepped in to rescue her & her remaining 3 babies.

They arrived at the sanctuary in June 2023, and since have experienced freedom and adventures for the first time. Muddy wallows, sunbathing, eating lovely fresh foods, cuddles, scratches and unconditional love.

We will keep them together as a family for the rest of their lives. Georgina will never have to go through the trauma of having any more babies ever again, and can live out the rest of her days with her special 3 she got to keep.
