Wobble, Hannah & Gertrude

Our very first male Turkey Wobble arrived at the Sanctuary on the 15th October along with his friends Hannah and Gertrude.

The trio had been born in mid June at a local farm where they were being raised for meat.

It has always been a dream of Hayley’s to be able to rescue a turkey from the Christmas table, and after many attempts over the last few years to save one, this year she outdone herself by managing to rescue 3!

The trio are only 4 months old only had a short time left before being slaughtered for Christmas. But, now they will get to spend their lives free from pain or fear at the sanctuary where hopefully they will get up to 10 years old! A far cry a meagre 4-5 months at a turkey farm.
